“ Anyone complaining about this commissary needs to grow up and live in the real world. It is one of the finest facilities I've seen in my decades (since 1974) of being a commissary patron. So what if stay at home mothers bring their kids. Selection is out of this world compared to any commissary world wide. If you don't like it, I hope you get Minot ND for your next assignment. ”
“ Not everyone gets to go on a military base. I have been to a few and noticed right away how clean this one is. The housing looks new and the Commissary and Exchange are laid out nicely. I had a pleasant shopping experience. ”
“ Mom's a military wife so we go grab items from here from time to time. Spices get your spices here!!! They rob ya blind at Fred Myers and Carr's when buying spices. Other items are less expensive here too like bacon, specialty rices and you can catch sales on meats and dry goods. Bacon get your bacon on here! Produce is hit or miss. Mom's got a huge sweet tooth so she stocks up on candy bars, cookies and snacks. You have to watch though prices on some items there are higher but they have a good variety of International Foods: German/European and Chinese/Asian. They also have like 5 varieties of Bubba Burgers ... those burgers are native to Jacksonville, FL where we moved from and they remind us of being at The Jaguars Football games where they're a staple. There's no replacing Costco or the grocery stores but they are nice if you have the access on base. Mom being 76 has Dr. Appts and I play the good Son-in-law chauffeur when she needs. ”
“ prices are amazing comparative to the other stores I have seen in Alaska and anchorage. The store is huge... they have amazing sushi options, a hot food station, a large deli with lots of variety, and the produce is reasonably priced. on the negative side, there are many shelves unstocked, like many reviews mentioned beforehand. The cashier was also quite rude to the woman in front of us; rolling his eyes because one of her items did not scan correctly. It was unprofessional. BUT, my review is based on a grocery store, and this is a great one. ”
“ The commissary is GREAT for small things. I do most of my grocery shopping at another (bulk) store. However, when I don't want gallons or multiples of something, the commissary has just what I need! ”
“ What's not to like about any Commissary? They may not have every brand you want, their selection is good. I would give them four stars because their produce really is not good quality, but the prices of everything else, meat, dairy (not milk), bread and just everything else in general is amazing. When they cost compare you really do save at least 30-50% off items. I do not go here for the produce but i do for everything else, including toiletries and diapers! Nothing to complain about besides pay day, expect for items like meat to be wiped out. Just come other days :) ”
